Refunds/Withdrawing the Application

WITHDRAWING THE APPLICATION

If your application is NOT yet verified, you may request that it be withdrawn. To withdraw your CSDCAS application, e-mail CSDCAS Customer Service your full name, CSDCAS #ID, and the sentence in the box below. Please note that if you have already paid for your CSDCAS application, there are NO REFUNDS should you choose to withdraw. Application withdrawal requests must be made in writing. CSDCAS cannot accept withdrawal requests via phone.

CSDCAS Withdraw Statement:

“I authorize CSDCAS to withdraw my application from the 2017–2018 application cycle. Furthermore I understand that none of this information can be reactivated for a succeeding application cycle.”

Once your application has been verified, it is already in the possession of your selected CSD programs and cannot be withdrawn via CSDCAS. You should contact the programs to which you applied directly to withdraw your application from consideration.

CSDCAS REFUND POLICY

Once you E-Submit your application, your designated programs have access to your information. Because of this, NO REFUNDS will be given for ANY REASON. As stated in CSDCAS’ policies, which all applicants must agree to upon submitting their application, applicants must agree to the no refund policy and it is the applicant’s responsibility to complete their application correctly, to monitor the status of their application, to ensure all required documents are received and posted to their application, to respond to all notifications in a timely manner, and to adhere to the deadline requirements posted by their CSD programs.

CREDIT CARD PAYMENT DISPUTES

Applicants who issue credit card charge backs not authorized by CSDCAS will receive a Bad Payment notification and the application will be removed from consideration from all programs. Applicants will be given 10 business days to send in a money order payment for their full application fee + a $20 bank processing charge to reinstate their application. If CSDCAS does not receive payment within the allotted time frame, the application will remain blocked and all programs to which you applied will be notified of non-payment.

Should the application cycle end with an  application in a bad payment status, the applicant will be barred from creating future CSDCAS accounts until all fees owed to CSDCAS from previous cycles are paid in full.

COMMON QUESTIONS:

Q: I have submitted my application to several schools and wish to withdraw from only some, not all, of these programs. Can I do that?

A: NO. Once you submit your application, you are committed to applying to the schools you have selected. There is no way to only withdraw your application from certain schools via CSDCAS, as “withdrawing the application” will remove it from submission to all of your schools at once. Unless you would like CSDCAS to withdraw your application from consideration entirely, CSDCAS will still submit your application to all schools. If you would like a specific school to disregard your application, you should contact them directly.

Q: Can I obtain a refund if I miss a deadline?

A: NO. CSDCAS does NOT provide refunds for missed deadlines or failure of the applicant to correctly complete the application. As stated in CSDCAS’s policies, which all applicants must agree to upon submitting their application, it is the applicant’s responsibility to complete their application correctly, to monitor the status of their application, to ensure all required documents are received and posted to their application, to respond to all notifications in a timely manner, and to adhere to the deadline requirements posted by their CSD programs.

Q: Can I obtain a refund if the programs I applied to are no longer accepting applicants?

A: NO. CSDCAS does NOT provide a refund if a CSD program decides to close admission or fills its class. Programs do not notify CSDCAS when they decide to close their programs, so we advise ALL applicants to contact the programs they wish to apply to directly and confirm that they still have open seats or are still accepting applications BEFORE submitting your application.
